NeoVet is ready for the new 2026 Animal Health Certificate templates
New Version 5 Animal Health Certificate templates have been published for non-commercial movements of dogs, cats and ferrets from Great Britain into the European Union. NeoVet has adapted its certificate generation workflow to the new forms.
What changed in the certificate
The new templates refer to Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/131 and reorganise several Part II declarations. The standard multilingual certificate is also shorter, while retaining the animal identification, rabies vaccination, Echinococcus treatment and owner declaration sections that Official Veterinarians need to complete.
What NeoVet now handles
- The new Version 5 template for the relevant destination language
- The revised Part II declaration choices
- Animal identification and rabies details in the new field layout
- The mandatory rabies-vaccination details for the standard GB listed-territory route
- Echinococcus treatment details for destinations that require them
- The updated written owner or authorised-person declaration
The workflow stays familiar
Owners still complete their contact, pet and travel information online before the appointment. The practice reviews that information, adds the clinical details and declarations, and NeoVet produces the completed destination-language PDF for the Official Veterinarian to check and sign.
A final OV check still matters
NeoVet removes repetitive transcription, but the issuing Official Veterinarian remains responsible for checking the animal, the supporting evidence, the selected declarations and the finished certificate before signature. Practices should continue to follow current APHA guidance for each movement.
If your practice issues Animal Health Certificates, create a NeoVet practice account and try the updated workflow.
